Cyklokoalícia performed a BYPAD (Bicycle Policy Audit) for Bratislava in course of the Cyclurban project this autumn. The audit showed, that Bratislava is currently on a level, where there is a lot of policies on paper, but only very few execution.

Cycling policy in Bratislava is mainly limited to problem-solving. As in many cities, Bratislava struggles with a lack of officials that engage in cycling. The main finding of the audit: Besides the development of good quality cycling infrastructure, partnerships and cooperations (f.e. with schools, universities, retailers, employers, insurance groups) are a great way to boost cycling and offer a win-win situation for both sides.
